The Memphis Grizzlies and Houston Rockets are set to face off on Wednesday night, which will be Dillon Brooks' first career game against Memphis. Joining the Rockets in a sign and trade deal this summer, Brooks left the Grizzlies after both sides decided it was time to move on.

Now set to face his former team for the first time, Brooks has made some viral comments, most notably saying in an interview with Jonathan Feigen of The Houston Chronicle, "It’s like the girlfriend that you used to have. You don’t know how good she is until she’s gone."

During an appearance on The Chris Vernon Show, Grizzlies legend Tony Allen addressed Brooks' comments, saying, "I just saw what LeBron just did to him too. He just gave him 37, 9 and 8, he's still over there getting his ass bust. We ain't miss nothing. Trust me. Come on, man. Stop it."

Allen continued by saying the Grizzlies are hurt right now, but will be better than they have been to start the year. While Brooks has taken some shots at his former team, there are still positive relationships between he and many of his former teammates. That said, all of that will likely be on pause for 48 minutes on Wednesday night when Brooks looks to back up his talk against his former team.
