Memphis Grizzlies 2026 Emirates NBA Cup schedule released

The Memphis Grizzlies' 2026 NBA Cup schedule was released on Wednesday.

The NBA today announced the Group Play schedule for the Emirates NBA Cup 2026.

Group Play games will take place on “Cup Nights” every Friday from Oct. 30 – Nov. 27 and on Tuesday, Nov. 24 and Wednesday, Nov. 25.

Memphis will compete in West Group B, joined by the Oklahoma City Thunder, Minnesota Timberwolves, Los Angeles Clippers and the New Orleans Pelicans. The Clippers and Pelicans were in Group B with the Grizzlies last season.

None of Memphis' NBA Cup games will be national broadcasts.

The cup schedule kicks off on Friday, Nov. 6, at 7 p.m. when the Grizzlies face the Thunder at home. The next game will be Friday, Nov. 13, at 7 p.m. on the road against the Pelicans. Memphis will have 12 days between its second and third cup games before facing the Clippers in Memphis at 7 p.m. The last cup game will be in Minnesota, where the Grizzlies take on the Timberwolves on Friday, Nov. 27 at 7:30 p.m.

West Group B is tough at the top with the 2024-25 NBA champion Thunder headlining the group. Minnesota has had plenty of recent success, reaching the Western Conference Finals in two consecutive seasons in 2023-24 and 2024-25. However, the Clippers and Pelicans are not projected to win a lot of games this season, so Memphis' group this season is not reflective of the typical Western Conference gauntlet.

The Grizzlies finished with a 3-1 record in last season's cup games, which was by far its best performance in three seasons of the NBA Cup. Memphis lost its first cup game at home to the Los Angeles Lakers, but won the next three. The Grizzlies defeated the Dallas Mavericks at home and the New Orleans Pelicans and Los Angeles Clippers on the road.

Memphis missed bracket play due to the point differential tiebreaker with the Phoenix Suns. Both the Grizzlies and Suns finished 3-1 and second in their groups, but Phoenix's point differential was +31 while Memphis' was +14.

The Grizzlies had a combined record of 1-7 in the 2023 and 2024 NBA Cups (it was called the In-Season Tournament in 2023). In the 2023 In-Season Tournament, Memphis lost to the Portland Trail Blazers, Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Lakers and Phoenix Suns. In 2024, the Grizzlies' lone win came at home against the Pelicans. Memphis lost its other three cup games to the Golden State Warriors, Denver Nuggets and the Mavericks.

There will be a better idea of the scheduling of these games in terms of road trips and back-to-backs when the full NBA season schedule is released on Thursday, Aug. 12 at 2 p.m. CT.
