Ja Morant Concerns Grizzlies Fans With Latest Social Media Post

In this story:
Davonte Pack, also know as DTap, is a longtime friend of Memphis Grizzlies star Ja Morant. Pack has been involved in several of Morant's incidents over the past year, including his fight with teenager Joshua Holloway. It was uncovered by Grizzlies fans earlier this offseason that Morant had unfollowed Pack on Instagram, but the star point guard has since re-followed him.
Recognizing that Morant had re-followed Pack, a Grizzlies fan posted about it on Twitter, and received a response from Morant himself that has caused some concern amongst the Grizzlies fanbase:
it’s 5L ♾️💯
— Ja Morant (@JaMorant) September 12, 2023
Because of Pack's involvement in many of Morant's incidents, several Grizzlies fans were hopeful the star point guard had begun distancing himself from his longtime friend; however, this reply from Morant suggests that may not be the case.
Many Grizzlies fans have reacted with concern over this reply from Morant, but it's important to emphasize that the star point guard changing his recent behavior pattern was always going to start with his own decision making. While removing negative influences is important, Morant's decision making over the past year cannot be entirely placed on the people around him. If Morant has decided to turn things around, doing so without entirely cutting off one of his longtime friends is possible.
It's understandable why Grizzlies fans would be concerned about Morant's relationship with Pack, given his involvement in many of the star guard's recent incidents, but a social media follow does not mean Morant is going to revert to his previous behavior.
