With less than 24 hours until the NBA trade deadline, the Atlanta Hawks are struggling to find a deal for John Collins. ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski reported this news at 12:17 p.m. EST on SportsCenter.

Collins is in the second year of a five-year, $125 million contract he signed in the August of 2021. However, Atlanta's starting power forward and team captain has been the subject of trade rumors for most of the past three years.

Shortly after the season began, Atlanta resumed actively shopping Collins around the league with the intent of moving the 25-year-old before the February 9 trade deadline. But Atlanta's newly-formed front office of Landry Fields and Kyle Korver does not want their first move to be considered a loss.

Collins' trade value is at an all-time low because of the organization's unsubtle desire to offload his contract. To make matters worse, Collins is posting the worst shooting splits of his career. Collins is shooting 25.7% from three and 51.3% from the field.

While Collins continues to battle a season-long shooting slump, he still provides 13.2 points and 7.4 rebounds per game. Given the underwhelming trade packages Atlanta's front office has heard, they would be better off keeping Collins.

Yet, according to our reporting, all signs point towards the organization moving him tomorrow. Earlier today, our contributing writer Brice Lewis argued that no moves could improve Atlanta's roster.
