The awards and recognitions just keep rolling in for members of the Atlanta Hawks organization.

Just shortly after forward Jalen Johnson was named the Eastern Conference player of the month, Hawks head coach Quin Snyder was named the Eastern Conference coach of the month.

Snyder earns his fifth career Coach of the Month honor and becomes the seventh Hawks head coach to earn the monthly honor.

Notable Statistics from March:

Atlanta won 13 games, the most by any Eastern Conference team in the month, the team’s most wins in a single month since January 2015 (17) and tied for the fourth-most wins in a single month in franchise history

The Hawks owned a point differential of +12.1 over the month, the best in the East and second-best in the NBA

They ranked first amongst all Eastern Conference teams in points per game (122.5), effective field goal percentage (.576%), forced turnovers per game (17.6) and points off turnovers per game (24.9), while ranking second in net rating (11.5), defensive rating (109.4) and true shooting percentage (.605%).

Snyder secured his 500th regular season career victory on March 28, becoming the 41st coach in NBA history to 500 career wins and the sixth active head coach to do so.

Snyder led the Hawks to an Eastern Conference-best 13-2 (.867%) record in the month of March, tied for the most wins in a single month in his head coaching career. Two of Atlanta’s conference-leading 13 victories came against the top two teams in the East: at Detroit (March 25), vs. Boston (March 30).

Over Atlanta’s 15 games in the month, the Hawks averaged 122.5 points, 44.3 rebounds, including 12.5 offensive boards (third in the East), 30.2 assists (third in the East) and 9.4 steals (third in the East), forcing an NBA-leading 17.6 turnovers per game, leading to a league-best 24.9 points off turnovers. Atlanta’s 17.6 forced turnovers per game are its most in a single month since December 2006, per Elias Sports (min. 15 GP).

The Hawks entered the month of March on a three-game winning streak. From Feb. 22 through March 18, Atlanta won 11 straight games, winning all but one game by double digits (March 7 vs. Philadelphia, 125-116, +9). The Hawks became just the second team in NBA history to win 11 straight contests by nine-or-more points, joining the 1946 Washington Capitols. In March, Atlanta went a perfect 10-0 inside the award-winning State Farm Arena and are currently riding a 13-game home winning streak, the club’s longest single-season home winning streak since the 1996-97 campaign (20).

Since the NBA All-Star break, the Hawks own an 18-3 record (.857%), the best clip in the Eastern Conference. Per Elias Sports, this is just the sixth season in franchise history the club has won 18 games over a 21-game stretch and the first time doing so since the 2014-15 campaign (1968-69, 1986-87, 1987-88, 1993-94, 2014-15, 2025-26). Over that time, the Hawks rank second in the NBA in defensive rating (107.3), third in net rating (11.2) and eighth in offensive rating (118.5).

Atlanta is leading the NBA in assists per game this season (30.3), on pace to be the eighth-most assists per game in a single season in NBA history. With five regular season games left to play, the Hawks hold a 44-33 record (.571%), the team’s most wins in a single season since 2015-16, including securing 21 road wins, the most road victories in a single season since the 2015-16 season.
