Hawks vs Celtics: Three Takeaways From Hawks Loss

In this story:
On the second night of a back-to-back, Atlanta did not have enough in the tank to erase a 20-point deficit against the Boston Celtics.
Both teams were not at full strength tonight though. Atlanta was playing in its first game since Jalen Johnson's injury and Boston was without Jrue Holiday and Kristaps Porzingis.
The Celtics got an early lead and were never in any serious danger of giving it up, despite big games from Trae Young, De'Andre Hunter, and Bogdan Bogdanovic. The Hawks will get a day off tomorrow before continuing their road trip on Tuesday against Cleveland.
So what are the takeaways from tonight's game vs Boston?
1. Bogdan Bogdanovic should be in the running for 6th man of the year
I know it is a loss and I know that the NBA season is only 16 games in, but I do think that Bogdan Bogdanovic should be in the running for 6th man of the year and I think he showed that tonight.
Bogdanovic scored 23 points tonight and grabbed seven rebounds and was the most consistent offensive threat for the Hawks besides Trae Young. He has been off to a great start for Atlanta this season and he needs to be talked about more in the 6th man of the year conversation.
2. Atlanta could not get enough offensive production
Besides Young (33 points), Bogdanovic (23 points), and De'Andre Hunter (24 points) all had good nights offensively, but it was a struggle for the rest of the Hawks's offense.
Murray struggled shooting the ball tonight, only scoring six points on 2-13 shooting, Capela had four points and Bey had seven points. The rest of the supporting cast was not able to help out tonight and that hindered the Hawks high-scoring offense tonight.
Atlanta has been one of the top offenses in the NBA, but they have to get something from the others when they are playing an elite team like the Celtics.
3. The rebounding hurt the Hawks tonight
Boston is 22nd in the NBA in offensive rebounding, but they beat the Hawks on the glass tonight and got 18 offensive rebounds. Boston outrebound the Hawks 58-43 and that kept several possessions alive for the Celtics tonight. Atlanta is a solid rebounding team and it was a bit of a surprise to see Boston have a decisive advantage like they did tonight.
