Hawks vs Spurs: Atlanta Releases Initial Injury Report for Tomorrow's Game

In this story:
The Hawks are in the middle of a five-game road trip and next up on the schedule is a trip to San Antonio to face the Spurs. This will be an interesting matchup for a couple of reasons. Dejounte Murray is returning to play his old team and this will be the first time that the Hawks have faced the Spurs since they drafted rookie phenom Victor Wembanyama. Wembanyama is having a very good rookie season and he could make his presence felt in the game tomorrow.
If he plays that is.
The Spurs are listing Wembanyama as questionable to play tomorrow due to right hip soreness. The Hawks are going to be favored in tomorrow's game, but if Wembanyama is out, this game could get lopsided, even though the Hawks are not playing well right now without Jalen Johnson.
Ahead of tomorrow's matchup, the Hawks released the injury report and there are no new additions to it. Rookies Kobe Bufkin and Mouhamed Gueye remain out and Jalen Johnson is of course on the injury report.

The Atlanta Hawks were officially eliminated from the NBA's In-Season Tournament yesterday and group play is now finished. Atlanta finished with a 1-3 record in group play and instead of moving on to the knockout stage of the tournament next week, Atlanta will add two new games to its schedule.
Next Wednesday, Atlanta is going to be hosting the Brooklyn Nets for their second matchup of the season. Next Friday, the Hawks will travel to Philadelphia to have their second matchup of the year with the 76ers.
The in-season tournament did not go the way that the Hawks wanted. They opened up group play with a loss to the 76ers and then followed it up with a win over the Detroit Pistons (who are losing to everyone nowadays). Atlanta had a major opportunity in front of them when they played the Indiana Pacers (who won the group) and they could have had a lead in the group.
