Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green Believes The Denver Nuggets Are Already NBA Champions

Draymond Green sees the Denver Nuggets’ no-nonsense attitude as the reason why they will win Game 5 against the Miami Heat

The Denver Nuggets are in a promising position to win their first NBA championship.

With a 3-1 series lead against the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals, they have the opportunity to close it out in Game 5 on Monday. Everyone has basically given up on the Miami Heat, including Golden State Warriors’ Draymond Green.

In a recent episode of his podcast The Draymond Green Show, Green gave the Nuggets their respect by prematurely calling them NBA champions.

“Your 2023 NBA champion Denver Nuggets has been crowned,” Green said. “If you watched that game and they did not look to you as if the Denver Nuggets have won a championship, I don’t know what you were watching. I told y’all, Denver has been finishing their breakfast. And last night, these last two games was another example of that. They’re finishing their breakfast. They’re not playing with their food.”

Just like a lot of pundits, Green notices the atmosphere surrounding the Nuggets. They haven’t wasted any time in these playoffs, losing a total of just four games. Game 4 of the Finals was the icing on the cake. All of the Nuggets players were eager to win, even reserve Bruce Brown, who finished with 21 points.

Sure, the Heat are still confident they can win the series, as they should. They’ve already beaten almost every odd set against them.

But the Nuggets are hungry.

Every player on the team wants to contribute to the Nuggets’ historic championship. Nikola Jokic also wants to prove he’s the best player in the NBA after losing out on the MVP race. This kind of passion is what is needed to win.
