How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted to the Loss Against the Brooklyn Nets Saturday Night

Optimism reached a new low after the Miami Heat got blown out by the Brooklyn Nets.

The Miami Heat’s win against the New York Knicks left fans optimistic for the possibility of a strong end to the season. The Saturday night result was the opposite after the Heat were blown out by the Brooklyn Nets.

The fanbase’s confidence slowly deteriorated as the game progressed. A solid first half by Miami was undone by a 31-point second half. The team shot 28 percent in the third and fourth quarters while turning over the ball eight times. On the other side, Brooklyn scored 64 in that span on 23 of 45 shooting from the field.

“That was arguably the worst 2nd half in the history of the NBA by any team,” one user said. “Why TF is Butler, Adebayo, and Herro in the game when down 30 and only 3 minutes left?”

The fans couldn’t even celebrate “UD Night” to honor Udonis Haslem, because most were too frustrated by the loss.

But while Heat fans were distraught, many Knicks fans celebrated Miami’s defeat in the comments. Some are still upset about their Wednesday loss in Miami, so they wasted no time throwing shots at the Heat.

The Heat once again need help to determine their seeding after falling back to the No. 7 spot. A win would have put them in sixth place and one game behind the Knicks. They don’t control their destiny but can rebound with a win and a Nets loss.

Miami plays the Toronto Raptors (36-38) Tuesday night.
