How Miami Heat’s Twitter Reacted to the Win Against the Boston Celtics Friday Night In Game 2 Of Eastern Conference Finals

In this story:
There’s no way the Boston Celtics would go down 0-2 against the Miami Heat at home, right?
Wrong. The Heat’s Friday night win puts them two games away from going back to the NBA Finals.

So much for the three percent chance of winning the series. These odds probably lit a fuse in the team, despite Jimmy Butler saying they don’t care about the analytics. That seemed to be the trend in Game 2, with Heat players being fired up and responding to opposition. Caleb Martin thought he was fouled on a shot in the second quarter but no call was made. He answered this with eight straight points to contribute to his 14-point first half. Martin ended with a playoff career-high 25 point performance.

Celtics forward Grant Williams got into an altercation with Butler deep in the fourth quarter. So naturally, Butler answered with another clutch display, including seven points after Williams confronted him. Social media unleashed on Williams after Butler’s performance in the closing minutes.

The only downside for Heat Twitter was veteran center Cody Zeller, who ended with two points and a -8 plus-minus. If Miami lost Game 2, Zeller would certainly be in the midst of criticism from the Heat fanbase.

But ultimately, they remained victorious and put the Celtics in a very uncomfortable situation. Boston will now have to go to Miami and win the next two games to keep their season alive. Even splitting at Kaseya Center will leave the Celtics in a seemingly unwinnable position for the series.
The conference finals continue in Miami Sunday night.
