How Miami Heat's Twitter Reacted To Wednesday Night Win The Over Detroit Pistons

The Miami Heat open their NBA season with a nail-biter against the Detroit Pistons.

The Miami Heat's victory over the Detroit Pistons Wednesday night wasn't exactly the most appealing.

In fact, many fans were disappointed to see the team narrowly defeating a team ranking last in the league last season. The Heat's 103-102 win illustrated the suspenseful nature of Miami basketball last year.

Even the Heat's admin page captioned, "Heat basketball is back" on the final score post, highlighting the fact that many of the team's games are too close for comfort. The Heat had a 19-point lead in the fourth quarter that evaporated and eventually dwindled to just one.

Jimmy Butler, Bam Adebayo and Tyler Herro combined for 57 points but collectively shot 36 percent from the field. Duncan Robinson and Kevin Love had solid contributions, combining for 28 points on 6 of 11 shooting from 3-point range. Still, it was underwhelming for some to see the Heat's Big Three shoot this poorly.

Meanwhile, Pistons guard Cade Cunningham had 30 points on 48 percent shooting, seemingly getting whatever he wanted from the floor all night. Isaiah Stewart and Jalen Duren also combined for 31 points and 28 rebounds.

It's only the first game of the season, but it should be an eye opener for Miami. They need to bring their A-game Friday night when they face their rivaled Boston Celtics.
