Miami Heat Set To Acquire Forward Kevin Love

Heat bringing in former All-Star to join roster

The Miami Heat have apparently fixed their issues at power forward.

On Sunday, it was reported the Heat have finalized a deal to sign former Cleveland Cavaliers forward Kevin Love. The move was first reported by ESPN.

A 15-year veteran, Love is still a serviceable option for the Heat. Caleb Martin has played out of position at power forward all season, so Love could be the perfect complement to center Bam Adebayo.

Love is a five-time All-Star and won a championship with the Cavs in 2016. This season, he is arguably in the middle of the worst of his career. He was averaging a career-low 20 minutes and recently fell out of the rotation.

Love wanted to play on a contender. Last year the Heat made the Eastern Conference finals but have struggled this season mainly because of injuries.
