Video Resurfaces Of Paul Pierce Saying He Made LeBron James Join The Miami Heat

Boston Celtics legend Paul Pierce once again throws shots at the Miami Heat in video on LeBron James.

The rivalry between the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat will seemingly never end.

One of the catalysts for this friction is Celtics Hall of Famer Paul Pierce, who regularly shades the Heat and their renowned players. In an episode of the It is What It is podcast, Pierce declared he drove LeBron James from the Cleveland Cavaliers to join forces with Dwyane Wade and Chris Bosh in Miami.

"No I'm not better than LeBron, but any given day I can be," Pierce said. "You wanna go back and YouTube [2008 Semifinals] Game 7? I mean the statistics, he left Cleveland, let's talk about it. I'm a big reason he went to Miami. I went for 41 in Game 7 and sent him home. He was thinking, 'You know what, I can't get past these Celtics and P. Pierce.'"

The video was reposted on social media on Thursday by InspiredByHoops.

Well, at least he's saying he is better than James, a step up from his persistent claims of being more talented than Wade.

To be fair, James and Wade were both defeated by Boston in the 2010 playoffs. A year later, they became teammates. However, Pierce not only disregards James' performances in those defeats, but also didn't acknowledge his supporting cast of Ray Allen, Kevin Garnett and Rajon Rondo.

Since 2010, James and the Heat are a combined 7-1 in playoff series over the Celtics, with the one victory being a Jimmy Butler 3-point shot from another elimination. Another edition to this rivalry is sure to come about next season.

But Pierce will probably stir the pot way before their next matchup.
