In this story:

Russell Westbrook and Kevin Love have a long history, including being teammates at UCLA in college.

Now, there is a chance of them reuniting in the NBA and it could be with the Miami Heat. Both players were recently took buyouts from their respective teams. The Heat reportedly have mutual interest in acquiring them because they have enough cap space to do so without entering the luxury tax.

A Westbrook-Love reunion would benefit the Heat in a variety of ways. Love could provide a frontcourt presence the Heat need alongside center Bam Adebayo. Westbrook would add another scorer to complement Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro and Adebayo.

The Heat could use the help after their slow start to the season. After losing in the Eastern Conference to the Boston Celtics, the Heat enter the NBA All-Star break as the No. 7 seed.
