Guard Damian Lillard enjoyed his time playing for the Portland Trail Blazers

He recently hinted it may be time to move on. During an interview with "It Is What It Is" talk show, Lillard explained what it would take for him to remain with the Blazers.

“In a perfect world, I could spend my entire career in Portland," Lillard said.

What that basically means is Lillard's world isn't perfect in Portland. It's why he requested a trade to the Miami Heat in early July. Both have yet to make a deal but it is believed it will happen before training camp opens next month.

The move makes plenty sense for Lillard. He has yet to play for a championship in his 12 seasons in Portland. The Heat were in the NBA Finals twice in the past four years. It is likely just a matter of time before a deal is made.
