Did Miami Heat Social Media Take A Shot At Paul Pierce?

In this story:
Last weekend, the NBA world showered Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade with praise amidst his Hall of Fame induction.
Now out of the spotlight, Wade re-addressed Paul Pierce’s claims that he was the better player of the two.
“Paul Pierce was one of the greatest players that we’ve had in our game,” Wade said in a New York Times interview. “And I think, you know, when you are a great player and you don’t get the attention that you feel like your game deserved, sometimes you’ve got to grab whatever attention where those straws are.”
So naturally, the Heat’s Twitter page stepped in and backed Wade while throwing shade at Pierce. They posted a list of Wade’s accomplishments, captioning it with Pierce’s nickname “The Truth.”

And in response, the Heat fanbase took another opportunity to troll the Celtics.
In addition to championships, Wade had more individual achievements than Pierce. He was a 13-time All-Star with three All-Defensive selections and eight All-NBA selections. Wade is a top 3 player all time in his position, while Pierce is probably right outside the top 10 of all-time small forwards.
Like Wade said, the former Celtics superstar was still a great player whose high-level performances fueled the Heat-Celtics rivalry.
