It seems like South Florida has been the center of recent losses.

First, the Miami Heat in the NBA Finals. Then, the Florida Panthers in the Stanley Cup Finals. And now…former President Donald Trump?

Yes, Trump was arraigned in Miami Tuesday and charged with 37 felony counts relating to mishandling of classified documents at his Mar-a-lago resort.

Trump pleaded not guilty to these charges, sparking many reactions from both sides of the political aisle. And like always, Twitter found a way to make humor out of this situation. They threw salt in the wounds of South Florida sports fans by lumping the former President in with the Panthers and Heat.

“It's okay Panthers,” one fan said. “Between you, the Heat, and Trump, you aren't the only losers in Miami right now.”

The Heat are taking as much action as possible to re-establish championship contention for next season. Even for the improbable journey this year, they clearly need more to win it all. The trade rumors for star players have already begun, meaning change is likely coming to elevate to that next level.

As for Trump…we’ll see what happens next.
