Miami Heat legend Dwyane Wade thought he would remain with the organization after his playing days ended.

It didn't work out that way but Wade is content being a part owner of the Utah Jazz

“I think everybody expected that, right," Wade said in an interview with Draymond Green on TNT during All-Star Weekend. “And I even expected it at some point, but life happens. Things happen.”

Wade is generally regarded as the best player in franchise history. His relationship somewhat soured when he left the team in 2016. He later returned to finish his career, but there were never any talks of him joining management with the Heat.

It was a big weekend for Wade. He was also named a finalist for the Naismith Basketball Memorial Hall of Fame. The inductees are announced April 1 during the NCAA Tournament Final Four weekend.
