Eastern Conference Recaps, Feb. 13: James Harden Gives Vintage Performance In Victory Against Houston Rockets

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Houston Rockets 123-104 behind James Harden’s 29 points and 10 assists. Tyrese Maxey led all reserves with 26 points and Joel Embiid had 23.
Jalen Green led the Rockets with 29 points and Kenyon Martin had 15.

OTHER NOTES
-Jalen Brunson scored 17 of his 40 points in the third quarter, leading the New York Knicks to a 124-106 victory against the Brooklyn Nets. It was Brunson who put the Knicks in position to win the game. Both teams were tied at 80 in the third quarter but Brunson hit a 3-pointer to start a 13-3 run to finish the quarter.
Josh Hart led all reserves with 27 points and Julius Randle had 18 points and 10 rebounds. Spencer Dinwiddie led the Nets with 28 points and Cameron Johnson had 14.

NEXT NETS GAME AGAINST THE HEAT: Feb. 15 in Brooklyn
-Donovan Mitchell’s 41 points led the Cleveland Cavaliers to a 117-109 victory against the San Antonio Spurs. Jarrett Allen had 17 points and 11 rebounds and Darius Garland had 16 points.
Keldon Johnson scored 25 points for the Spurs, whose 13th straight loss tied their franchise record. Rookie Malaki Branham had 18 points and Keita Bates-Diop had 14.
NEXT CAVALIERS GAME AGAINST THE HEAT: Mar. 8 at Miami
-Four Charlotte Hornets starters scored 20-plus points to lead them to a 144-138 victory against the Atlanta Hawks. LaMelo Ball led the way with 30 points and a season-high 15 assists. Terry Rozier had 29 points, Gordon Hayward 26 and P.J. Washington 23.
Trae Young led the Hawks with 25 points and 14 assists and Clint Capela had 22.

-The Utah Jazz held off the Indiana Pacers’ fourth-quarter rally to win 123-117.behind Lauri Markkanen and Jordan Clarkson, who each scored 29
Tyrese Haliburton led the Pacers with 30 points and 12 rebounds and rookie Bennedict Mathurin had 21 off the bench.

-Rookie Paolo Banchero’s 22 points led the Orlando Magic to a 100-91 victory against the Chicago Bulls. Markelle Fultz and Franz Wagner had 18 and Wendell Carter had 15. Zach LaVine led the Bulls with 26 points and DeMar DeRozan had 19.
