Miami Heat president Pat Riley said he would be “fine” with the current Miami Heat roster if they don’t make a major acquisition.

That’s the last thing Heat fans wanted to hear.

Throughout the season, the fanbase constantly expressed frustration toward Riley for his “run it back” comments after coming short of the NBA Finals in 2022. And now, they are exuding these same irritated feelings before the season even starts.

The team’s Finals run was commendable but exceeded expectations. They were clearly outmatched by the Denver Nuggets with their lack of size and reliance on role players like Gabe Vincent and Caleb Martin. Many believe a superstar addition or a few more pieces could propel the Heat to a championship. Riley, however, seems content with the current roster.

Some are worried the organization is wasting opportunities to win with Jimmy Butler in star form. They’ve already lost out on Bradley Beal, and the Damian Lillard ordeal is looking extremely unlikely. Fans may have to live with the fact that they probably aren’t making a big splash this offseason.
