Jimmy Butler Says "A Championship Is Coming To The Future In Miami."

Miami Heat forward Jimmy Butler has never shied from making bold statement.

He's made several guarantees in the past, so his recent comments during his tour of China should come as no surprise. While speaking about last season with CGTN Sports Scene, Butler once again refused to back down in front of the microphone.

"A championship is coming to the future in Miami," Butler said.

This season, Butler and the Heat have their sights set on a championship. After losing to the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals, they are the favorites to acquire seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard. It makes them an even stronger contender.

Butler last took time to reflect on what the team accomplished last season. He said it left a lasting impact. Butler rarely mentioned himself, crediting all achievements to his teammates and the organization.

“Ah, I mean, I think the most important factor of us reaching the Finals was just teamwork. The way that we played all year long, it was never about one guy,” Butler said. "It was always about the team and playing together as a unit... We came up short. That’s okay sometimes, but it's always about teamwork."

Butler, who is known as an exceptional leader, put his teammates in the spotlight, praising them for the success of the team.

“Honestly, my favorite moments are when Gabe [Vincent] played well, when Max [Strus] had a great game, or when Bam [Adebayo] had a great game,” expressed Butler. “I love to see my teammates shine. It makes me smile because I've known all along what they’re capable of.”

Although Vincent and Strus have since moved on to different teams, Butler still gave them credit. This showcases his exceptional leadership qualities. His acknowledgment of their contributions even after their departure speaks volumes about his leadership.
