Miami Heat Fans Open Donovan Mitchell Conversations After Postgame Interaction

In this story:
One of the headlines of the Miami Heat-Cleveland Cavaliers game was the Heat’s reunion with sharpshooter Max Strus. But some fans revisited the Donovan Mitchell trade conversations that dominated the 2022 offseason.
Mitchell was Miami's top target as the organization searched for a No.2 scorer to Jimmy Butler. The Heat fell short of the 2022 Finals due to a lack of offensive production outside Butler. Every sign pointed to Miami getting Mitchell, but the conversations fell short and the former Utah Jazz star was traded to the Cavaliers.
A few Heat fans revisited the possibility of Mitchell in Miami.

One user even compared it to Victor Oladipo dapping up the Heat players after one of his matchups when he was still an Indiana Pacer. Oladipo eventually ended up in Miami, and people referred to this meeting as them building chemistry early.

By now, Heat fans should learn to not aspire for superstar players. Then again, it could all be jokes and speculation.
The main catalyst fueling the Mitchell to Miami speculations was his frustration with the Jazz. He's had relative success in Cleveland, even with their underwhelming postseason against the New York Knicks. The Heat also don't have much to offer to Cleveland, if the Cavaliers would even entertain a deal.

Miami will seemingly always be in conversations to get other star players. Thankfully, their current team doesn't look like they need to make a big acquisition.
That is...until they blow a big lead or lose to a top contender. Then, Heat fans will be calling for an star-caliber player to save their team.
