Miami Heat Red, White & Pink Game Set For Oct. 9

In this story:
Fans have their first chance to see this year's version of the Miami Heat Oct. 9 at Kaseya Center.
That's the date set for the Heat's annual Red, White & Pink Game. Tickets go on sale Thursday for $5. All proceeds benefit cancer research at the Baptist Health Miami Cancer Institute.
The Heat are coming off their second NBA Finals appearance in four years. They once again came up short, falling to the Denver Nuggets. In 2020, they lost to the LeBron James-led Los Angeles Lakers in six games.
The Heat return most of their core, losing Max Strus, Gabe Vincent and Victor Oladipo during the offseason. The biggest X-factor entering this season is if they can acquire Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard in a trade.
Their pursuit of Lillard prevented them from making any big moves during free agency other than the addition of Thomas Bryant and Josh Richardson.
