Miami Heat Set To Face Philadelphia 76ers On Christmas Day

In this story:
Jimmy Butler and the Miami Heat will be hosting Joel Embiid and the Philadelphia 76ers on Christmas Day. Butler will be facing off against his former team while the 76ers seek revenge for their 2022 playoffs defeat.
This is Miami’s first Christmas Day game since 2020, when they faced the New Orleans Pelicans. They defeated the Pelicans 111-98, led by Duncan Robinson’s 23-point performance.
The Athletic’s Shams Charania broke the news of the five Christmas Day games as follows: Milwaukee Bucks vs. New York Knicks, 76ers vs. Heat, Boston Celtics vs. Los Angeles Lakers, Dallas Mavericks vs. Phoenix Suns, and finally the Golden State Warriors vs. Denver Nuggets.

Butler and the Heat will likely be the favorites in this game, especially if they acquire Portland Trail Blazers seven-time All-Star Damian Lillard. However, considering the connections between these two organizations, it should be a must-watch game.
After a few seasons of being ignored by national television games, the Heat are finally back on the radar. Last year they made the NBA Finals for the second time in four years, losing to the Los Angeles Lakers in 2020 and Denver Nuggets last season.
