Miami Heat's Bam Adebayo: "This Is One Of My Favorite Teams I've Ever Been A Part Of"

In this story:
Even though the Miami Heat's season ended with disappointment, center Bam Adebayo called it one of the most memorable seasons of his career.
"So looking forward, I think this is one of my favorite teams I've ever been a part of because we willed our way through ups and downs," Adebayo said. "We willed our way through the things that people said we couldn't do."
The Heat had to win the play-in tournament just to earn a spot in the playoffs. They became just the second No. 8 seed to make the NBA Finals, joining the 1999 New York Knicks.
"So for me, the future, I just take these lessons and I apply them to the next season," Adebayo said. "Whenever we go through adversity, I'm always going to look back and be like, we've been through adversity before. You know, having the 8 seed in the Finals isn't normal. It isn't easy. People think it depends on what seeding you are is how good you're going to be. To me, that's bull----, and obviously this season showed different."
Adebayo called this season a "whirlwind" because of the adversity.
"Obviously we didn't get off to a great start in the beginning of the season," Adebayo said. "And then go through adversity, guys being out, playing with eight guys, still trying to find a way, missing shots, everybody counting us out. You lose the first play-in game, then win the second one and you go on an unbelievable run to the Finals."
