Miami Heat's Erik Spoelstra Apologizes To ESPN Reporter For Harsh Response

Miami Heat coach Erik Spoelstra apologized to ESPN reporter Ramona Shelburne after his testy response to a question following Game 2 against the Denver Nuggets in the NBA Finals.

Shelburne said Monday that Spoelstra sent her a text message after he appeared to take offense to a question after the game. Here's the clip:

Shelbrune asked if the Heat wanted to turn Nuggets star Nikola Jokic into solely a scorer instead of a triple-double threat. He had 41 points on 28 shots in Game 2 while struggling to get others involved.

"That's a ridiculous ... That's the untrained eye that says something like that," Spoelstra said. "This guy is an incredible player. Twice in two seasons he's been the best player on this planet. You can't just say, 'Oh, make him a scorer.' That's not how they play."
