See if this sounds familiar.

The Miami Heat spends all summer coveting big-name free agent and trade targets. They are considered the favorites for said players. After months of speculation, nothing happens.

Yep, it happened yet again for the Miami Heat.

This time, it was All-Star guard Damian Lillard. He requested a trade specially to Miami in early July. The Heat were considered frontrunners until earlier this week when Lillard was traded to the Milwaukee Bucks

So add Lillard to the list of players such as Kevin Durant, Donovan Mitchell and Bradley Beal as players Pat Riley were unable to land in the offseason. Instead of adding a "whale" to the roster, the Heat will run it back with the same core of Jimmy Butler, Tyler Herro and Bam Adebayo.

In this week's "Undrafted Rookie Free Agents" podcast, Inside The Heat contributors Anthony Pasciolla and Jayden Armant discuss the aftermath of the Lillard news. You can watch it below or also on our YouTube channel
