Report: Miami Heat's Tyler Herro Out At Least 3-4 Weeks Because Of Ankle Sprain

In this story:
The Miami Heat will likely be without guard Tyler Herro for longer than expected.
Herro was diagnosed with a Grade 2 ankle.
A statement released by the Heat read: "Tyler Herro has been diagnosed with a Grade 2 ankle sprain. He will be in a walking boot for 10 days and will be re-evaluated in 2 weeks. We will have a better idea of his return to play after 2 week re-evaluation."
That means Herro is out for at least three and a half weeks after sustaining the injury in Wednesday's victory against the Memphis Grizzlies. He will not play the rest of October. If he is unable to return against the Indiana Pacers Dec. 2, he would have more than a month off. The season doesn't resume against Dec. 13 because of a break.
The injury occurred while Herro was driving to the basket when he stepped on Memphis center Jaren Jackson's foot. After hobbling to the locker room, Herro never returned.

Herro is off to the best start of his career, averaging a career-high 22.9 points, five rebounds and 4.6 assists. Last year he missed most of the postseason after breaking his hand in the first game against the Milwaukee Bucks.
"You know, it's unfortunate, but I'm just going to continue to work hard," Herro said. "I've been through this injury stuff before. I'm just going to keep working."
The Heat, winners of three straight, have two off days before facing the Atlanta Hawks.
