Former Miami Heat player P.J. Tucker is continuing to keep his name in the news regarding his future status.

On Thursday, Tucker was fined $75,000 by the NBA for "public comments reported during the week of Feb. 5 expressing a desire to be traded to another team."

The league was referring to an interview Tucker did with ClutchPoints that week about his request for a trade to a contender where he can contribute. He has repeatedly hinted he doesn't want to remain with the Clippers

“I feel like I shouldn't have to go through this,” Tucker told ClutchPoints. “I didn't ask to be here. I didn't ask for and I didn't demand a trade to be here.”

The story came soon after Tucker posted an Instagram story of him going to Miami Beach with the caption "Home Sweet Home" while the Clippers were in town playing the Heat earlier this month. The Los Angeles Clippers big man is struggling to find playing time since leaving the Heat after the 2022 season.

However, he is proven to contribute as a leader to championship contenders. Tucker played nearly 30 minutes per game during the Bucks 2021 championship. He was considered a valuable asset during his time with the Heat, so he could be an option.
