The Good And Bad If The Miami Heat Acquire Kyrie Irving

In this story:
Brooklyn Nets guard Kyrie Irving at his best is one of the Top 20 individual players in the NBA, proving it by carrying the team with All-Star Kevin Durant on the injured list the past month.
Irving at his worst is also one of the biggest distractions in the league, proving it by missing half of the season because of his anti-vaccine stance and using social-media to promote an anti-Jewish film.
So if the Miami Heat are to acquire Irving, who requested a trade Friday, they could get a dose of the good and bad.
Here's what some major media outlets said Irving when ranking him among the NBA's top 100 players:
Ranked No. 26 by The Ringer
"Devastating offensive presence who wows with his shot making and ball handling, though defensive limitations, injuries, and off-court decisions have tarnished his value and reputation."
Ranked No. 33 by ESPN
"Irving is one of the most dynamic offensive guards the league has ever seen -- but his ability to be a fully invested member of the team he is playing for continues to be in question."
Ranked No. 26 by SI.COM
"It’s really this simple with Irving: If he’s on the court and playing, only a handful of players throughout the league are more impactful. Yet as we all know, the question of whether that will be the case is always a toss-up with the 30-year-old mystery box, who, as a 50-40-90 threat, doubles as one of the NBA’s most skilled players."
Pros and Cons aside, Irving is an upgrade from Kyle Lowry and Gabe Vincent and would make the Heat an instant championship contender if they can find a proper trade package without breaking up the core too much.
