Miami Heat rookie Jaime Jaquez had the quite the debut in the NBA Summer League.

He had 22 points on 8 of 15 shooting in the Heat's 107-90 victory against the Los Angeles Lakers in the California Classic in Sacramento.

The highlight was an impressive dunk. Here's a clip of the poster slam:

Jaquez was chosen with the No. 18 pick in last month's draft. He spent four seasons at UCLA, earning Pac 10 Player of the Year and second-team All-American honors as a senior. He is the Heat's most anticipated rookie since Tyler Herro in 2019.

Many draft experts expect him to immediate compete for playing time this season. The Heat have one more game in Sacramento before heading to Las Vegas for the full summer league.

Heat second-year forward Nikola Jovic also finished with 21 points. After spending most of last season in the G League, he is expected to contribute more this year.
