Like any sneakerhead, Miami-based rapper DJ Khaled wants to protect his shoes.

A recent video posted on social media shows exactly how far he is willing to go to prevent any marks, creases or scuffs. A short clip surfaced on X, formerly known as Twitter, of DJ Khaled asking a couple of colleagues to carry him from a car to an event where he was performing.

He was wearing a pair of vintage Air Jordans, the most popular shoe in sneaker history.

"I don't want to get my Jordans dirty," DJ Khaled is heard saying in the video. "Can I get anybody to help me?

In the middle of the act, the rapper gives thanks for the lift to the concert stage.

"You can't mess up the Js," DJ Khaled says at the end.

DJ Khaled is known as a Miami Heat superfan. His most popular moment with the Heat came during Game 5 of the 2022 Eastern Conference semifinals against the Philadelphia 76ers. With the Heat comfortably ahead, DJ Khaled grabbed a loose ball from his courtside seat. He then handed the ball to Heat guard Max Strus. Before heading back to his seat, Khaled rubbed coach Erik Spoelstra's shoulders.

The scene quickly became an Internet sensation, with several fans talking about it on social media. It was easily the most talked about moment of the game.

“He’s such a great fan,’’ Spoelstra said. “Over the years, I’ve said, ‘Hello,’ a few times, but that was a first ... That was funny," Spoelstra said. "I didn't notice until the end when he was getting the crowd fired up but I loved it. That's was awesome. I was humbled to be a part of that moment."
