Western Conference Recaps, April 6: Phoenix Suns Remain Undefeated With Kevin Durant In Lineup

The Phoenix Suns are now 8-0 when Kevin Durant is in the lineup.

Led by Durant’s 29 points, the Suns grabbed a 119-115 victory against the Denver Nuggets. Chris Paul finished with 25 points while hitting a career-high seven 3-pointers. It was the most 3-pointers he hit since Dec. 9.

“I should have made more,” Paul said. “That's why these games are important. This is a new way, I never really played with guys getting doubled like this. You need to use these games.”

Bruce Brown led the Nuggets with 31 points and Reggie Jackson had 20.

OTHER NOTES:

-The Oklahoma City Thunder have moved closer to clinching a playoff berth. They used Shai Gilgeous-Alexander’s 22 points to secure a 114-98 victory against the Utah Jazz. Josh Giddey had 17 and Aaron Wiggins scored 15 off the bench.

Kris Dunn led the Jazz with 22 points and Kelly Olynyk had 16 points and 14 rebounds.

-Four San Antonio Spurs players scored 20-plus points to grab a 129-127 victory against the Portland Trail Blazers. Keita Bates-Diop led them with 25 points while Keldon Johnson and rookie Julian Champagnie had 24. Kevin Knox scored 24 points for the Trail Blazers and Drew Eubanks had 23.

-With Donovan Mitchell and Darius Garland out due to rest, Danny Green scored 21 points for the bench to help the Cleveland Cavaliers grab a 118-94 victory against the Orlando Magic. Cedi Osman had 19 and Lamar Stevens 13.

Jalen Suggs led the Magic with 22 points and Bol Bol scored 18.
