In a game against the Warriors where the Utah Jazz looked chaotic and unorganized, one player looked poised and dominant. That player was the Jazz big man, Rudy Gobert.

Gobert finished with a stat line of 24-points, 28-rebounds, and 4-blocks. 28-rebounds is a stat that doesn't happen often. In fact, it's been since 1977 that anyone in a Jazz uniform had even come close to reaching that mark.

On November 11, 1977 against the Los Angeles Lakers, the New Orleans Jazz' Truck Robinson set the team's franchise record by recording 27-rebounds. Only twelve games later, Robinson would tie that feat, snagging 27-rebounds again against the Indiana Pacers. Robinson's single-game record would stand for 44-years before being broken by Gobert on Sunday afternoon.

Former Jazz Center Mark Eaton was quick to give Gobert praise after the 28-rebound game.

Although Eaton may have gotten the year wrong (Robinson's rebounding high in 1978 was 24), we'll give him the benefit of the doubt since Robinson's 27-rebound games came in the 1977-1978 season.

Gobert is not only the new franchise leader for rebounds in a single game, but he also sits in third place for total rebounds in franchise history. He only trails Karl Malone (14,601) and Mark Eaton (6,939) with 5,704 career rebounds for the Jazz.
