The Utah Jazz enter Monday night looking to increase their win total to double-digits as they take on the Brooklyn Nets. Utah is coming off a tough loss to the Sacramento Kings, but now has the opportunity to rebound and avoid another stretch of multiple losses.

However, the Jazz will be a bit undermanned in this game, notably within their backcourt. Both teams released their injury report before tipoff, revealing a few names that will be out of action in this contest:

Utah Jazz:

Jordan Clarkson- OUT (thigh)

Keyonte George- OUT (foot)

John Collins- QUESTIONABLE (illness)

Omer Yurtseven- OUT (illness)

Brooklyn Nets:

Dennis Smith Jr.- OUT (back)

Lonnie Walker IV- OUT (hamstring)

Ben Simmons- OUT (back)

For the Jazz, the recent wave of sickness continues, as Omer Yurtseven becomes the latest to be listed as out due to an illness. However, there is some optimism to be had considering the progress seen in the status of John Collins. He's been sidelined for Utah's last four games, but Monday marks the first chance he'll be able to hit the floor since December 8th.

As for Keyonte George and Jordan Clarkson, both continue to rehab their respective injuries. George has been dealing with some foot soreness after last Thursday’s game against the Portland Trail Blazers, and Clarkson has yet to be re-evaluated after being announced he would be sidelined for two weeks with a thigh strain.

The Nets will be without a few key names in the backcourt as well, with Dennis Smith Jr., Lonnie Walker IV, and Ben Simmons all being out of the lineup. It may hint at a big game incoming for Cameron Thomas, who’s gotten off to an electric start in his 2023-24 campaign.

The Jazz will face off against the Nets at 7 PM MT at the Delta Center, hoping to continue their home success in Salt Lake City.
