Jazz-Warriors Game Postponed Amid Health Issue With Golden State Coach
Despite previously gearing up to play on Wednesday night, the Utah Jazz and Golden State Warriors game was announced as postponed due to a health concern with assistant coach Dejan Milojevic on the Golden State staff.
According to a report from ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski and Ramona Shelburne, Milojevic traveled to Salt Lake City on Tuesday night before being hospitalized after having a serious health concern at a restaurant with Warriors players and staff.
As a result, the NBA announced the postponement, noting the situation as a “medical emergency in the Warriors family,” with a new game to be scheduled at another date.
Milojevic has been on the Warriors’ coaching staff with Steve Kerr since 2021, also winning an NBA championship in the 2022 season. He also played professional basketball in Europe for 15 years with Serbia, Spain, Montenegro, and Turkey.
So, for the Jazz, they’ll get the unexpected night off. Utah will now focus on the final game of their home stand on Thursday when they take on the Oklahoma City Thunder at the Delta Center, hoping to extend their winning streak to seven.
