I don't know what fans were expecting from the Utah Jazz on Wednesday night, especially after dropping back-to-back games against the Minnesota Timberwolves, but I doubt breaking the franchises "most points scored in a game" record was the first thing on the list.

The Jazz simply couldn't miss during last night's matchup against the Sacramento Kings, beating their Western Conference rivals 154-105. Shooting 64% from the field, and 58.5% from three point range, the NBA leaders looked unstoppable. The crazy part about it: they did it all without Donovan Mitchell and Mike Conley.

Eight Jazzmen found themselves in double figures as the final buzzer sounded on Wednesday night. Bojan Bogdanovic (24-points) and Jordan Clarkson (23-points) led the way in scoring for the Jazz. Georges Niang and Matt Thomas weren't far behind with 19 and 17-points respectively, while Jarrell Brantley and Joe Ingles both added 13-points to the record breaking night. Finally, Rudy Gobert and Royce O'Neale also got in on the double-digit scoring barrage adding 12 and 10-points each.

Utah was also stout on the defensive end of the court, adding 4-steals and 9-blocks throughout the game.

It was like watching the Jazz from earlier on in the season, and even a bit better. They were finding the open man and hitting every shot that they would hoist up. From the get-go, it was easy to see that Utah was a different animal from the previous two outings.

As they now travel to Phoenix to take on the Suns, lets hope that the Jazz intensity and momentum can carry over. The Suns are coming off of a big win over the Los Angeles Clippers and will look to take the Jazz down for the third time this year. If the Jazz are able to take the win over the Suns on Friday, their chances of retaining the first seed in the NBA get a lot easier.

Friday's game between Utah and Phoenix will tip off at 8pm MST. Jazz fans can watch the game on AT&T SportsNet, and can also tune into the game on 97.5FM or 1280AM.
