First Rounder Keyonte George Aspires to Be ‘Complete Player’ for Jazz

In this story:
After being selected 16th overall by the Utah Jazz, Keyonte George is in a prime position to make an immediate impact on the franchise, having the opportunity to develop into a future starting guard in Salt Lake City. After being selected by the Jazz, George gave fans a bit of insight as to what he can provide on the court.
“Playing above the rim, getting to my spots, making tough shots, being able to create not just for myself, but also for my teammates. Being able to pass with both hands. Defensively, just getting that ‘dog’ mentality, knowing rotations, staying in front of the ball, making the person I guard—my coverage—take tough shots,” Keyonte said, "Just being that complete player. Willing to learn each and every day, so you’re going to get a student of the game and somebody that’s not going to take this game for granted.”
George is already one of the best three-level scorers in the draft, can create his own shot, and has the size and upside to become a great defender. With the sponge-like mentality, George seems to have to go into his rookie season, developing and improving some of the surrounding traits in his game should be no issue.
George went on to talk about some of the areas of his game he wants to work on going into year one of his professional career:
“Just continuing to make sure my passes are on time, on target. Being able to pass with both hands. Sharpening that up. Continuing to have my handle tight. Having that ball on a string, just continuing to work on that so come game time, I’m able to handle pressure and deliver passes right on the money.”
The future of the guard position in Utah just got a lot brighter with Keyonte George now at the helm.
