While the Utah Jazz hosted Salt Lake City Summer League does not compare to the much grander Las Vegas league, rookie Keyonte George had some insightful feedback to give about how these three games have helped him prepare for the upcoming games on a bigger stage.

“A+ for sure. Getting to play three games, you know, there’s a lot of rookies that don’t get to play until Vegas. Getting these three games under my belt, build chemistry with the guys...It’s always fun every day getting to play in front of the home crowd."

In George’s first three games of his career, he averaged an inspiring 15.6 points, 5 rebounds, and 4.3 assists within 28 minutes played per game.

It's a beneficial event, not just for the Jazz but for the other three teams participating in this short event as well. At the end of the day, it is just Summer League, but three games of preparation for Vegas is far better than zero. Especially considering the young, inexperienced players being such a major part of the league, getting some run before Friday’s kickoff could be an advantage for Utah.

The health of Taylor Hendricks and Brice Sensabaugh still looks to be in question for Vegas, after both players missed all three games in the SLC Summer League. However, others like Keyonte and Ochai Agbaji are ready for their next challenge this offseason.

“I expect to play every game in Vegas.”

The Jazz’s first game of the Vegas Summer League starts up on Saturday night, as Utah will take on the Los Angeles Clippers at 8 PM MST.
