Jazz-Timberwolves Injury Report: Anthony Edwards Status in Question

In this story:
After falling earlier in the season in a blowout loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves, the Utah Jazz have the opportunity to get some redemption against Rudy Gobert and Co. come Thursday night in the Target Center. Fresh off a disheartening loss vs. the Memphis Grizzlies, Utah will avoid falling into another yet losing skid early in the season.
However, the Jazz may be without some of their usual help. Already set without All-Star Lauri Markkanen in the second leg of their back-to-back, a few other names popped up on Utah’s injury report, including Kris Dunn, Jordan Clarkson, and Kelly Olynyk.
Utah Jazz:
Lauri Markkanen- OUT (hamstring)
Kris Dunn- OUT (personal reasons)
Taylor Hendricks- OUT (G-League)
Brice Sensabaugh- OUT (G-League)
Josh Christopher- OUT (G-League)
Jordan Clarkson: QUESTIONABLE (thigh)
Kelly Olynyk: QUESTIONABLE (shoulder)
Minnesota Timberwolves
Anthony Edwards: QUESTIONABLE (hip)
Jaden McDaniels: OUT (ankle)
Jordan McLaughlin: OUT (knee)
Jaylen Clark: OUT (Achilles)
Potentially set to take on tonight’s game without the services of Edwards, the Timberwolves may have to shift their focus offensively to Karl Anthony-Towns and Mike Conley to recover some of the production lost. Through his first seventeen games of the season, Ant-Man has started hot, averaging 26.2 points, 5.9 rebounds, and 5.0 assists.

As for the Jazz, if they’re without some of their own key offensive pieces such as Clarkson and Olynyk, the responsibility will once again shift to those like John Collins and rookie Keyonte George to lessen the blow. They held their own during last night’s game against Memphis, but it proved to be not enough to take home a win.
An almost 30-point blowout earlier in the month to the same team should prove a great motivation for this Utah squad to get back on track come Thursday at 6 PM MT against Minnesota.
