As we enter the final days of the 2023 preseason, NBA franchises will begin making minor tweaks to their carefully constructed roster to finalize their 18-man before the new year. With many players across the association newly signed to short-term, low-commitment camp deals, seeing teams shed these guys to remain under their roster limit is usually a common sight before the season.

And that’s exactly what the Utah Jazz did, as the team announced the decision to waive G Romeo Langford, G Michael Devoe, and F Keshawn Justice on Tuesday.

Langford made headlines when the Jazz first added him with an Exhibit 10 deal on August 30th. He was the 14th overall selection for the Boston Celtics in the 2019 NBA Draft and was never quite able to get established in his first few years in the league. Through 141 games played across four seasons, Langford averaged 4.6 points, 2.1 rebounds, and 0.7 assists on 43.0/28.8/65.9 splits.

As for Devoe and Justice, they were just recently added to the team on camp deals on October 11th. However, it seems their run on the active roster has come to a close. However, finding an opportunity with the Jazz’s G-League affiliate in the Salt Lake City Stars is sure to be in the cards.

Now seemingly established with their final opening roster before the 2023-24 NBA season, the Jazz will get a perfect final preseason test against the Sacramento Kings on Thursday.
