In this story:

To nobody's surprise, the Rookie of the Year finalist, Walker Kessler, has received All-Rookie honors for the 2022-23 regular season. After receiving two first place votes in Rookie of the Year voting, it was only a matter of time before we got the news of Kessler getting a spot on the All-Rookie team.

The Rudy Gobert trade continues to pay off more and more each day, as Kessler was a central piece surrounding the mega-deal last offseason. That package will only continue to enhance as the Minnesota Timberwolves' picks develop in the coming seasons.

Kessler was joined alongside Paolo Banchero, Jalen Williams, Bennedict Mathurin, and Keegan Murray on the first team. While Walker was able to get some recognition, the other Jazz first rounder, Ochai Agbaji, unfortunately failed to make the first or second team.

In a message released on the Jazz's Twitter, here's what Walker had to say to fans about being named one of the best rookies of this past season:

"Sup Jazz fans! Just wanted to say how excited I am to be selected to the All-Rookie team. Super thankful for all of you, wouldn't be able to it without y'all's love and support. I mean... we all felt it this year. So, super thankful for you all, looking forward to next year. Go Jazz!"

The Auburn product made his impacy felt this past season, averaging 9.2 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 2.3 blocks across his 74 games. Advanced statistics also tend to lean in Kessler's favor, putting up an astounding offensive rating of 140 and team-best defensive rating of 111.

The Sheriff will enter the 2023-24 season ready to make another substancial impact to the Jazz in his sophomore campaign.
