Fan favorite Bol Bol caught an unexpected release from the Orlando Magic on Tuesday, forecasting him to be suiting up for the third NBA team of his career next season. It surprised many, given that Bol saw some increased opportunity and flashes of high-level production throughout last season.

Now, Bol will have the chance to sign elsewhere for what could be an even increased role than he saw last season. The Utah Jazz, while having some nice players in the frontcourt could be a team to use his services. He’s still only 23 years old, and let his versatility shine, playing anywhere on the floor from center to even point guard in a few games.

Will Hardy could utilize Bol in a collection of ways next season that you just couldn’t find in another player on the market. Adding him to a team filled with other towering giants like Markkanen, Hendricks, and Kessler can only make this team more of a pest on the defensive side of the ball.

While the ceiling Bol’s been previously predicted to hit may never materialize, he possesses physicals that are unteachable. While he’s been unable to find his footing in the league during his first four seasons, the Jazz could be the team to finally unlock him.

The Jazz currently have 15 players on the roster, so some moves would have to be made to make this a reality. Still, the upside Bol has makes it hard to pass on what he could soon be in the league.
