The Utah Jazz may be in to get the first look at the return for 4x NBA champion and 2x-All-NBA forward Draymond Green. After being suspended across his last 16 games with the Golden State Warriors, his inevitable arrival seems to be on the horizon sooner rather than later.

According to Warriors’ HC Steve Kerr, Green has an opportunity to come back to the lineup as soon as their next game vs. the Jazz or the Memphis Grizzlies during their upcoming road trip, via Anthony Slater of The Athletic on X:

Green has been out of the lineup for Golden State since being suspended for his punching incident with Phoenix Suns C Jusuf Nurkic on December 12th. The Warriors have struggled a bit in the win-loss column across that stretch, going just 8-8 during that time. Getting back their anchor should be a massive benefit pairing back next to the backcourt of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

However, if Green ends up returning vs. Utah, things won’t be coming that easily for Golden State. The Jazz have been red-hot in their latest stretch of games, going 14-4 across their last 18. Especially considering their recent success as an offensive unit, Draymond could certainly have his hands full on the defensive end when coming to Salt Lake City.

The Jazz and Warriors will face off in the Delta Center on Wednesday, January 17, for the first of three times this season.
