Utah Jazz Announce Dates for Salt Lake City Summer League

The Utah Jazz will be playing in their hometown come Summer League once again this July. Summer League is always an exciting event that gives incoming rookies and hopeful young players a chance to make their mark in the league.

In collaboration with the Utah Sports Commission and Western Governors University, the Jazz are able to host their eighth consecutive Summer League within Salt Lake City.

While in previous years the event has been hosted at Vivint Arena, the Jazz recently announced the arena's naming rights being handed off to Delta Airlines once again on July 1st. The team's arena will return to its Delta Center name that it held from 1991 to 2006.

According to the information reported by Jeremy Rincon of NBA.com, the Jazz are set to play on July 3rd, 5th, and 6th against three teams: the Memphis Grizzlies, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Philadelphia 76ers. The schedule for when these games are exactly played is set to be released in the coming weeks.

Within these few days in the beginning of July, we'll get the perfect opportunity to get a small glimpse at the incoming young talent for the Jazz and the other attending franchises. Fans may even get a chance to watch some top young talent face off in Salt Lake City, such as the Thunder's 2022 2nd-overall pick Chet Holmgren, as he begins to return from his devastating foot injury that kept him out all season.

With the Jazz entering the 2023 draft with three first-round picks, Utah should enter the Summer League as of the more intriguing teams to watch in the event's entirety.
