Pat McAfee Sounds Off on His Experience at Jazz HQ

In this story:
The Utah Jazz are receiving some rave reviews on the national media front. ESPN personality Pat McAfee claims that attending the Jazz and Los Angeles Clippers game was the ‘coolest’ basketball experience he’s ever had.
McCafee shared his thoughts on The Pat McAfee Show.
“It was the coolest basketball experience I’ve ever had,” McAfee said. “I’m very, very grateful to the Utah Jazz being so hospitable, and hey, let’s go win one.”
We had an ALL TIME moment with Kelly Olynyk at the Utah Jazz game..

Before he checked in during the third quarter I offered him $10,000 to a charity of his choice if he hit a three..

That’s saying a lot from a personality that spent his playing days in the state of Indiana. Utah may not have the reputation of being a “basketball” state, but Jazz fans know that the Delta Center can feel like a playoff atmosphere in the regular season.
In addition to giving accolades for his experience at the Jazz-Clippers game, McAfee also had some nice things to say about Owner Ryan Smith.
“Me and Ryan Smith there, though, that guy is incredible,” McAfee said. “I didn’t know much about him, okay — I had no idea, no offense to Utah. I have not paid attention to Utah. I’ll be paying attention to the entire state of Utah. I already told my wife — we need to buy skis because we got to do what they do out there.”
McAfee was courtside, sitting beside Smith in Utah’s 120-118 victory over the Clippers. One could believe that McAfee contributed to the victory by incentivizing forward Kelly Olynyk to pay $10,000 for every three-pointer he made in the second half to his favorite charity. Olynyk knocked down two three-pointers late in the game to help seal the victory.
Time will tell if he finds his way back to Salt Lake City, but at the least, it’s nice to see Utah being shed in a positive light.
