Following a hot start to the season, the Sacramento Kings have lost two consecutive games, falling to 8-6. Despite six losses, the Kings have been beaten by just three teams. The Golden State Warriors, Houston Rockets, and New Orleans Pelicans have each beaten the Kings twice.

After back-to-back losses in New Orleans, the Kings visit the Minnesota Timberwolves in a pivotal In-Season Tournament Group Play matchup. The Wolves are the hottest team in the league, winning ten of their last 11 as they sit first in the Western Conference at 11-3.

Sacramento and Minnesota are each 2-0 in In-Season Tournament play, and whoever wins Friday's matchup will likely move on to the elimination stage.

The Timberwolves are 7-0 at home to start the season, while the Kings are just 4-5 on the road. Neither team is playing at full strength, so whichever stars decide to step up to the plate will likely lead their team to victory.

Injury Report SAC at MIN 11/24

Kings:

F Keegan Murray - OUT (back)

G Keon Ellis - OUT (ankle)

C Alex Len - OUT (ankle)

G Colby Jones - QUESTIONABLE (hip)

Timberwolves:

F Jaden McDaniels - OUT (ankle)

G Jordan McLaughlin - OUT (knee)

G Jaylen Clark - OUT (Achilles)

The Kings are heading into a must-win game in Minnesota without their tertiary scorer Murray, as he misses his second straight game with lower back soreness. The Kings will have a hole in their lineup with Murray sidelined, as G Chris Duarte will likely start in his place again.

The Wolves will be without McDaniels, who has blossomed into an elite defender with an evolving offensive game. The wing matchup of Murray and McDaniels would have been exciting, but both 23-year-olds are missing Friday's action.

The Kings will be without their backup point guard Ellis for the third consecutive game, as G Davion Mitchell must step up in his absence. Mitchell was the second-unit point guard to begin the season, but Ellis took his place in the rotation due to poor performance. With Ellis sidelined, Mitchell has more opportunity to earn his spot back.

Sacramento will look to bounce back in Minnesota on Friday at 5 P.M. PT/8 P.M. ET.
