Lakers Superfan Snoop Dogg Rocks Kings Jersey at Sacramento Concert

In this story:
The NBA and hip-hop communities are constantly intertwined with heavy support for each other. Whether it is NBA players shouting out their favorite rappers or famous hip-hop artists sitting courtside at NBA games, there is always a mutual respect for one another.
Famous rapper Snoop Dogg, born in L.A., is as big of a Los Angeles Lakers fan as you will find.
Even though Snoop Dogg is a Lakers superfan, he was supporting the Sacramento Kings on Friday night during his concert at the Golden 1 Center, wearing a throwback Mike Bibby jersey in front of the Sacramento crowd.

Snoop Dogg is constantly either praising the Lakers or giving them constructive criticism, but either way, he always publically supports them. Although he is a Lakers fan, Snoop Dogg has given props to the division rival Kings before.
Following the Kings first round playoffs matchup against the Golden State Warriors, Snoop Dogg joined Undisputed on FS1 with Skip Bayless and Shannon Sharpe, where he gave props to Kings star De'Aaron Fox (via @HoangBiUNDISPUTED / YouTube):
"[The Warriors] found out [De'Aaron] Fox was a dog. That boy from Sacramento, they found out he was a dog. That light doesn't flicker, it stays on."
The 2023 first-round matchup against the Warriors was Fox's first NBA playoffs appearance, and he showed out. Averaging 27.4 points, 7.7 assists, 5.4 rebounds, and 2.1 steals with 42/33/75 shooting splits, Fox willed the Kings to a Game 7 against the 2022 NBA champions.
The Lakers are the most prominent division rival for the Kings, as the rivalry dates back to the 2002 Western Conference Finals, where many fans feel the series was unfairly officiated in favor of the Lakers. Although the intensity has settled down recently, the in-state rivalry always gets fans out of their seats.
The support shown by Snoop Dogg at his concert is a sign of respect for the Kings organization and fanbase as Sacramento takes the league by storm.
