NBA 2K24 Reveals the Kings’ Player Ratings for the 2023-24 Season

In this story:
The Sacramento Kings are recognized as one of the best young up-and-coming teams in the NBA. The Kings are among the most successful in a league full of young talent following a 48-win 2022-23 season, regardless of an unfavorable playoff outcome.
While NBA media and fans give the Kings their props for their impressive play centered around an All-NBA duo, NBA 2K24 does not give the Kings stars the same respect. As we look at the NBA 2K24 player ratings, we notice that some Kings players are underrated heading into the 2023-24 season.

Kings G De'Aaron Fox tops the list as an 88 overall, ranking him as the 8th-best point guard. Some notable names ahead of him are Atlanta Hawks Trae Young (89), Dallas Mavericks Kyrie Irving (90), and Memphis Grizzlies Ja Morant (92). Fox is coming off an All-NBA 3rd Team appearance, which should deserve at least a 90 overall.
Similar to Fox, C Domantas Sabonis gets slightly disrespected by the ratings. While an 87 overall is too low, the position comparisons match the rating. NBA 2K24 gave Miami Heat's Bam Adebayo an 87 overall as well. Both big men should be around 89 or 90, similar to New Orleans Pelicans Zion Williamson (90).
The rest of the list includes fair ratings, as G Malik Monk finds an 82 overall as one of the league's best sixth men. G Kevin Huerter earns an 80 overall but should be closer to Monk's rating, following an impressive season shooting 40% from deep.
Coming off a fantastic rookie season, F Keegan Murray becomes an 80 overall. This is a fair rating for Murray, as his rating will increase throughout the season as he proves his worth as more than a sharpshooter.
Veteran F Harrison Barnes falls to a 79 overall, which is fitting compared to the rest of the Kings' ratings. While he is the third highest-paid player on the team, the younger players are expected to take leaps while he takes a step back.
While NBA 2K ratings do not always translate to real-life performance, they still give us an interesting way to look at and compare NBA players.
