Lakers News: LeBron James Addresses Bronny's Rumored Decision To Leave USC

Los Angeles Lakers star forward LeBron James opened up about his eldest son Bronny James's decision to possibly leave USC next season. The freshman played with the Trojans this past year but has potentially decided to enter into the transfer portal as the offseason gets underway.

The Lakers star said that his son had some tough decisions to make, but that they would support him in whatever decision he makes. There has been much debate about what his son will do, either staying in college for another year or heading to the NBA.

If Bronny does enter the transfer portal, he likely will want to go to a program that can help him develop his skillset. James struggled during his freshman year at USC, in part due to some medical issues to start the year. But the young combo guard does have plenty of ability to be a quality player, he just needs some more time to grow his game.

Part of the reason for Bronny entering the transfer portal is that his former head coach, Andy Enfield, is leaving the Trojans to take the head coaching job at SMU. The young guard likely wants to play under someone that he chooses, especially if he stays in college.

If Bronny does enter the NBA, there would be a chance for him to play alongside his father in the league. This has been talked about heavily for years, especially with his dad being able to opt out of his contract at the end of the season.

Until Bronny decides on his basketball future, there will be much speculation on everything. We should know soon what he decides, which will help clarify even what his dad will do over his last few years in the NBA.
